A leading group of hotels in Zanzibar is looking for a suitable candidate to fill in the positions mentioned below


3. Executive Housekeeper (1 Position)

• Reporting to General Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
• In charge of Housekeeping department, conduct periodic performance evaluation exercise.
• Prepare a training program for the department and ensure high standards of hygiene
• Ensure safety/security of employees at work place in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety.
• Oversees cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms, public/ back of the house areas.
• Conduct departmental recruitment, staff promotion and other related duties.
• Ensure effective communication, coordination and team work within the department
• Handling of guest requests and complaints, Supervising and controlling the lost and found items.
• Train and develop team members under responsibility to reach their potential.
• Ensures staff compliance with Company rules, statutory and legal requirements for fire, health and safety.
• Monitor and Control staff attendance (punctuality) through the Muster Rolls.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Housekeeping/Hotel Management is desirable.
• Age bracket 35 to 45 years old
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a 4/5 star hotel.
• Fluent in English, creative and resourceful.
• Good communication skills, interpersonal and people management skills.
• Knowledgeable of products, equipment used and chemical safety relating to H/Keeping.
• Computer knowledge, MS Excel & Word.
